Tips to help you organize your thoughts
Every day our brain receives large amounts of information from various sources. In order to own them and use them efficiently, it is necessary to organize these thoughts in a form that is as accessible as possible, which allows us to use them when needed. So let us begin organizing these thoughts.
Put your ideas on paper – Write everything you think
Before you get to work, clean up! Not in the house, but in your mind. Bring all thoughts to light. Write in such a way as to make sure that they no longer take up space other than on the sheet. May be overwhelming but you’ll see that your mind will get lighter.
Looking at the ideas you’ve put on paper you can start to break it up into sections and keep only what is helpful. Then, with them well placed in separate boxes, you can arrange them in the closet in your mind. That way, when you need any of these thoughts or ideas, you’ll find them faster. Also, this will help you understand them better and maybe see them in a better light.
You can use also the WRITE technique by writing in a journal daily.
When organizing your thoughts try not to let yourself get lost in details
If you try to accumulate and work with the enormous amount of information that reaches the brain, you will not be able to stop this process in time to be able to organize your thoughts. Soon everything will mix and the brain will overcrowd. This phenomenon is similar to the introduction of too many objects into the luggage scanner at the airport. At some point, the responsible agent will not be able to see anything and the device will lock.
The mind will not give up if it receives too much information at once, but we have all experienced such a situation at least once and it is not a happy one. In order to increase our capacity for the organization of thoughts at the psychic level, it is necessary to have a sorting system. We can’t afford to wait until the last minute to act, because then it will probably be too late.
This system involves separating important facts from distracting details. The facts are not the same as the details. Most important facts are repeated several times, but they tend to be buried by the multitude of details that surround them. So pay attention to those repetitions!

Divide and gather ideas to form a whole and well-defined thought or idea
While reading the ideas or text you’ve put on paper you may have gotten stuck to the idea of sorting. It’s OK. Let’s see together how you can do this easily and how you can actually organize your thoughts. First, look at what your written thoughts look like. Some may be general ideas, while others may be just examples. This way, you can figure out more quickly what to talk about the first time, the second, the third, and so on. Moreover, this will help you not to confuse ideas with each other. Let’s say the subject is “love at first sight.” With a bag of ideas about happiness and one about love in mind, you will know which one to choose from.
Isn’t it clear yet?
The organization of thoughts is done by going through the five classifications:
- Time – Does the thought or idea relate to the past, present, or future?
- Structure – Is the thought or idea alone or part of a larger idea?
- Location – Is the thought or idea related to some kind of physical location or environment?
- Materials – Does the thought or idea relate to a particular material or materials?
- People – Does the thought or idea refer only to you or does it refer to other people? If so, who? Is it about family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, colleagues, clients, clients, acquaintances, etc.?
